Focus on Tinnitus
16 May 2016
During April we put our focus on tinnitus and ran Free Demonstrations of hearing devices that not only aid hearing but also provide tinnitus relief through sound therapy. While there is no easy fix for tinnitus many of those who came along to our demonstration appointments were pleasantly surprised by what they experienced. For people who have hearing loss and tinnitus, hearing aids are often helpful because the better you hear, the less you may notice your tinnitus. The addition of sound therapy signals (presented through the hearing device) can be beneficial for tinnitus whether you have normal hearing or hearing loss. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your tinnitus or come in for a demonstration of hearing devices with sound therapy for tinnitus.

Open For Business
15 January 2016
We are into mid-January already! First Hearing Centre has been
open for business for several weeks and our appointment bookings
have really got going now that we are into the New Year.
We have had an expert in acoustics come and evaluate the main
consulting room and it was pleasing to find that the room
complies with the ISO standard for ambient noise levels. Our
testing equipment is all run through the computer and is a
pleasure to use.
We are stocked with batteries and other accessories for hearing
aids and are ready to take your bookings whether they be for a
hearing check, or to evaluate the effectiveness of your current
hearing devices.
First Hearing Centre is Nearly Open
20 December 2015
After several months of work our new clinic is almost ready to
open. There is some finishing off required in the work station
area of reception, and the electricians will be back in on
Monday to make sure all our power outlets and data points are
live. At the moment the clinic looks like there is a lot to do
because the ceiling tiles are yet to go in, however this work
will hopefully be completed within a day. Our furniture will
arrive on Monday afternoon. A cleaner will come through and
vacuum the floors, clean up the reception desk and windows. We
then need to await the final council inspection of the premises
later in the week.
It will be exciting to have our computers and clinical equipment
set up by the end of this week. During the days between the
Christmas and New Year public holidays we will open for reduced
hours (10.00am to 2.00pm) with the first day of our regular
hours being Tuesday 5 January 2016.
